 "Two Timin Freckles is an exciting, bred-in-the-purple finished cutting horse; he traces to Sugar Bars and Leo both top and bottom. We acquired him to cross back on our Sugar Bars mares; we were fortunate to buy him from his breeders, Winthrop & Judy Aldrich. His sire, Freckles Playboy, is a Leading Sire of performance horses, with earners of $21 million NCHA; $105,000 NRHA; $186,000 NRCHA. Playboy is the sire of NCHA Futurity Champions, World Champion, Superiors, ROMs, etc...Two Timin Freckles' dam, Freckles O Lena, is one of the Leading Dams in the cutting industry, as producer of earners of over $535,000., including Little Pepto Gal, 2002 NCHA Horse of the Year.
Two Timin Freckles himself has earned over $14,400 in NCHA cuttings to date with very limited showing, and earned his NCHA Certificate of Ability. He has qualified 3 times for the National Western Championships in Ogden, UT; in 2001 he finished in the top 10 in the 3000 NH. In 2001 he also was year-end champion for the SD Cutting Horse Assn. 10,000 NH and 3000 NH.; that same year he won the Open class at the Don Smith Ranch NCHA cutting, marking a 76 under a Texas judge (3 times he has marked a 76 in NCHA competition, trained & ridden by Matt Lopez). The last few years he has been used by our family in the South Dakota High School Rodeo Assn.; he has been the Regional Champion in Boys Cutting 3 times, qualifying for the National HS Finals in NMex. in 2003. Two Timin Freckles has accomplished this while being ridden by novice cutters in the high school shows, and still breeding a full
slate of mares at home. He has a lot of charisma in the show pen, and is electrifying to watch when he cuts tough cattle.
