"Flit Drift is a breedy-type, athletic horse with a very trainable mind. He is quick and catty on his feet, has good withers and bone. We shipped semen from World Champion sire, Dr Nick Bar, to one of our best mares, Docs Redwood Reba, and got this young stallion. We like Reba for her breeding and conformation; she is John Red and Driftwood bred on the bottom, Doc's Jack Sprat and line-bred Leo on top, with good bone, solid mind, and a lot of action. Her sire, Jae Bar Flinn, is an NCHA Bronze Award winner, AQHA ROM Performance, and brother to World Champion Cutting Horse, Jae Bar Fletch. He is double-bred Leo and King with crosses to Oklahoma Star and Sugar Bars. Her dam, Redwood Patti, is a daughter of renowned arena horse sire, Orphan Drift, and a granddaughter of John Red, known for outstanding, resilient, athletes with speed. The John Reds did well on the track and made great arena horses. Flit Drift, or "Nick", is in calf roping training with Roy Durfey and showing great promise; he has cow, acceleration, and a big stop. Nick has also been patterned on barrels and has the speed and rate to excel in that event as well. His first crop of colts are outstanding; mostly roans with lots of action and intelligence."
